Q: Does the John Hancock Tower in Boston have a public observatory? If so is there a website or how to get to it...
A: To the first poster: Umm no, and no. Bay Tower Room used to be in the Financial District on State Street. Used to have great views of the airport, reasonable food, and practically no lighting at night. The Hancock Tower used to have a public observatory, but it was closed after September 11th. What you are looking for is the Prudential Tower. There is a Skywalk observatory with great views of Boston. (I think the Skywalk is better than the Hancock one anyway because you couldn't see the Hancock from the Hancock, and the building had a noticable sway. The Pru is comparatively ugly.) There is also a restaurant at the top of the Pru called Top of the Hub. There never was one at the Hancock.
