Q: we're looking into moving to Hampshire county, i'm just trying to get some infor from some locals about the job market, school systems....etc.

A: Don't listen to that fool from NH. I see you mentioned Hampshire County. It most definitely is NOT crowded. It's mostly rural in fact, but still very modern, especially in outlook (very liberal). Amherst and Northampton are great places to live. The job market might not be so great unless you have a needed skill. The schools vary, with Amherst having a good rep, but some of the small towns less so. I grew up near there so I'm familiar with it. One thing though, Springfield and Holyoke are crime-ridden dumps. Stay away. The suburbs are ok, but it's Amherst, NOHO, and the little towns north of there that are the places to look at.
