Q: Hey i have a brother in Jacksonville Fl, But I'm in boston,Ma how could i become his guardian? his Guardian right now are welling to sign him over but i don't understand what process to fallow.

A: If your brother in fact needs to have a guardian, I hope that you will either move close to him or have him move close to you. It is hard to be a guardian from a distance but not impossible. Although not required by law hiring a lawyer familiar with family law and probate courts in the state where you live would be a good first step. You would also have to demonstrate that you are capable of being a guardian.
