Q: Hi my hubby and I plan to visit Portland and Seattle in a 4 day trip. Could you please highlight the important must-see points and what all we could cover in those 4 days. Our plan is to see Portland on the first day Travel to Seattle next morning and finish sight-seeing of important points and come back the same night Sight see Portland 3rd day as well Spend time with family in Portland and return the same day Is this enough to cover the important points? Also, let me mention we plan to take this trip early January'09 (so we might need to keep the winter cold in mind)

A: Well, my suggestions for Seattle: Space Needle (I think it's about $10 to go up, but you can eat at their restaurant.) Pike Place. It's a bunch of outdoor self-owned mini-stores, and if you get there early, you can see the guys toss the fish around. You could go to the Experience Music Project (EMP). It's a museum for famous musicians, basically. Then there's the body exhibition and the pacific science center (It's sorta kiddish, but very fun for whoever). They're both museums. But, I don't think you can do all those in the time line given (Why did you give three days in Portland, but only one in Seattle?) Sorry, can't help you w/ Portland.
