Q: I am having trouble deciding where to move. Perhaps some of yous can help me decide. I am into nature and into Pagan events and such. I enjoy camping and hiking and gardening. I am in school for culinary arts and love making healthy, natural and light flavored food as well as Japanese cuisines although I can make more than that. I am a very artsy person and prefer to take a bus or bike rather than a car. I love to read so libraries are important as well as museums and any other artsy-type events. I am very into the Japanese culture and wish to indulge myself more into it. So those are the things I am into where do you think is best for me? and any ideas on what kind of events, shops, restaurants and so on might be in the area you think is best for me? Thanks!

A: Portland would definitely have more things for you to do since it is a bigger city. However, Eugene, being a college kind of town would also have a lot of that. It really depends on if you want a bigger city, or a more mellow laid back place. I prefer Portland, but many prefer Eugene as there is much less traffic than in Portland, but both places are super bike friendly. I think you'd like either, it just depends on size of town. Eugene also has more of a hippie feel, though it's in Portland as well.
