Q: My bf and I are looking to get away after he gets off work Monday @4pm and be back in time to go to work Thursday @5am. He was thinking a day trip through yosemite since neither have been there. But... I want to use both days, and lodging is super expensive, if you can get it. Alternatives?
A: You could explore the Sierra foothills and find reasonable places to stay. If you enjoy wine tasting, there are some great wineries where wine tasting is usually free located in Amador, Calaveras, El Dorado, and Nevada Counties.
