Q: So, i am interested in Wicca. But i really don't know much about it, and what very little i did figure out was really hard for me to figure out lol, anyways, so if there are any wiccan's in Mo-Town (Modesto) Well, wanna teach me? I don't know, i'll be your understudy, your student. lol P.S. I am 18!!!!! 19 next month, so please don't hesitate to answer my question in fear that i am a minor cuz i am not!

A: Depends... most experienced Wiccans won't even give you a chance if you're under 18. If you're over 18 though, you could try to find someone via witchvox.com (enter your location into the panel at the left). In the meantime, I suggest you try to study up- http://wicca.timerift.net is a good site. I also suggest you go to the library or amazon.com to get Wicca: a Guide for the Solitary Practitioner by Cunningham, and also Drawing Down the Moon by Margot Alder (though if you do get Alder's book, it's vital that you read it carefully and don't skim it, and that you also take what she says "some" say with a grain of salt). Avoid wicca.com and wicca.org, and also avoid those such as Silver Ravenwolf, DJ Conway, Fiona Horne, the Frosts, and Laurie Cabot. PS- if you have further questions, you'll have more luck on the Religion & Spirituality section (under Society and Culture), because there are dozens of Wiccans on Y!A and most of us hang out there and not in the Sacramento section :-)
