A: I would have strong doubts that you would find billeting at the Powell Guest House on Fort Sam Houston. During a deployment situation, and with the soldiers who are being sent to BAMC from smaller bases for specialty care, priority for allocation of the rooms in the guest house, and all on post housing, is for active duty military personnel and their families, then retirees who are sent to BAMC for care. I would recommend that you contact the staff education office, or whomever they have assigned as your point of contact for the internship. They may assign you a sponsor, who will assist yo in finding suitable accommodations. It is very common at military facilities, where people are transferred into assignments where they are unfamiliar with the area, to assign a sponsor to provide this type information, and smooth your transition into the new location.
