A: Cost of living is moderate in the city, though housing is quite inexpensive. There are many safe neighborhoods, and where you should live, is based on many factors. Where you work is a major issue. Traffic can be difficult during rush hour and it is nice to be close to your work if possible. If you have children, then the Northside, North East, and Alamo Heights School Districts would be best, unless you plan on private schools. Most of the new development and new shopping is on the north side of the city, but there is a reemergence of the urban housing in the downtown areas, and some new development on the south.
