Neighborhoods in Seattle?

Q: What is the "artsy/boho" neighborhood in Seattle? I am not sure how well know Washington DC is to people from Seattle, but I want something comparable to Dupont Circle (if that helps) Thanks to anybody that helps :)

A: I used to live in D.C. and now live in the Seattle Area. Something comparable to Dupont Circle would probably be Fremont, Belltown or Capitol Hill. Although, Capitol Hill can get a little eccentric, but if you go farther east, up the hill it's a little more mellow and neighborhoodish. There are a lot of good restaurants around there though in particular Coastal Kitchen which is near where I used to live. Belltown is downtown Seattle, kind of the heart of city life which is pretty comparable to what Dupont Circle is in DC. You're within walking distance of shopping, restaurants, the waterfront, etc. It can get trendy in some places though. Fremont is kind of like Belltown only a little more laid back. It's by far my favorite area of Seattle. It has some great bars, boutiques, restaurants and parks. Plus, it's not too far from downtown. I would steer clear of Pioneer Square, that's a lot like Adams-Morgan. But if you like Adams-Morgan, go for it! Hope that helps!
