Q: We are soon heading for the USA & will be staying somewhere around St.Louis. We want to go NYC. Please guide us as to how can we reach there: If by air, how long journey we need to take by air to NYC and how much it will cost per ticket. If by train, how long it will take us to reach NYC and how much it will cost us. We also ask your openion as to which mode of transport will be best and cost effective for us. If possible, give us names of airlines which fly from around St. Louis to NYC and names of trains to NYC. Thanks a lot.
A: You don't want to take the train. It's called Amtrak, and it would take a day or two to get from St. Louis to NYC. You'd save $50 so it's not worth it. Grants Farm is where Budweiser raises its Clydesdale horses. (Yes, the MadMullah has thought to improve his image to Jesus_Smiles!! And, I thank you for the double 10 points.) You can find the best travel deals at Orbitz website. You type in St. Louis and NYC and the dates, and it will show all the airlines and the prices for each. You should be able to find a flight without a stop-over for a good price. A stop-over may mess up your luggage and cause a delay. http://www.orbitz.com/ Your carry-on bag at an airport can not have any liquids in a bottle larger than 3 oz. You have to buy little bottles to put your shampoo in, and you have to have small toothpaste. You can bring aboard a drink that was bought inside the airport. You can take a bunch of candy with you on the plane. Your checked-in luggage can have shampoo in any size bottle. http://www.tsa.gov/311/311-carry-ons.shtm There's a handy list of prohibited items on airplanes if you scroll on down: http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/prohibited/permitted-prohibited-items.shtm
