The advance purchase rate allows you to save a % off of the best flexible rate, but requires you to prepay at least 14 days ahead of time, and if you don't go, you don't get your money back. It's kind of like priceline and hotwire. No Refunds under any circumstances, so if you are sure you are going and won't need to change your plans, this would be the best rate you will find.
