Q: My fiance and I are going to be staying at Lumiere Place downtown and I wasn't sure what all was within walking distance of the hotel it will be on a Friday are there any comedy clubs or anything?? Also what are some good places to eat.I know that the arch is right behind the casino , but not sure what else Please Help!!!!!
A: You have Lacledes Landing right at the door to the Casino which has restaurants and bars. The closest to comedy will be the Royale Dumpe which is a comedy dinner theater set in midevil times. Can be a fun time except if you request salt. My husband did this and I had to go up to the king in front off the whole audience and beg for salt since it was a precious commodity back then. I promptly returned and dumped it on my surprised hubby's head! You are also within a few blocks of a Metro Link Station which will take you to the Ball Park, Forest Park or even to the University City Loop which is a really trendy area with bars, shops and restaurants. Don't know what Friday you are staying there but you could check to see who is playing at the Pagent in U City on that weekend.
