Q: Hi, I'm going to hang out at 'The Loop' in St. Louis and was wondering if there were a few inexpensive, but clean, hotels to price?

A: As mentioned there aren't really any hotels in the loop, but there is a Holiday Inn near Forest Park which might be cheaper than some of your other options. You might also want to check the Clayton Area, although there are some really expensive ones over there as well. There is a Residence Inn near the Galleria in Richmond Heights which might be reasonable too. My suggestion would be to try priceline or hotwire and specify that you want Clayton or Downtown. Both of these areas are right near Metrolink which you could ride to the Loop if you want to and are a little adventurous. I've been able to get some really nice 4 to 5 star hotels downtown for under $75 a night, and you might be able to do even better if you are willing to gamble on the exact location or hotel. You could also use hotels.com which will give you distances away from the attraction you are thinking of visiting. Good luck
